We’re calling on all MAORCA members to join forces in support of a National Organized Retail Crime Blitz, set for the week of May 26, 2025.
This initiative is being coordinated by the Cook County State's Attorney’s Office and the CCROC Task Force, with support from RILA and the NDAA. The goal is simple but critical: disrupt and dismantle local ORC networks by coordinating focused enforcement operations across the country.
Retailers across the U.S. are seeing sharp increases in violent theft, habitual offenders, and illegal fencing operations. This blitz sends a strong message—retail theft is not low-risk or victimless. It threatens store employees, communities, and is often tied to broader criminal activity like drug trafficking and fraud.
Over 30 states are already involved. MAORCA encourages all members—law enforcement, retail investigators, and prosecutors—to take part in this important effort. After the blitz, participating groups will regroup to share results, intelligence, and lessons learned.
